I am currently training at The Birmingham Ballet School, and I hope to enter an upper school graduate scheme to improve my craft in this beautiful art form. What are your dreams and aspirations - where do you see yourself in 5 years? My dream one day is to perform on stage… I am not quite sure what that will entail yet, whether it be with a ballet company or in another dance or musical theatre based company I don’t mind, as long as I’m performing!

 Favourite style of dance?

I love all styles of dance, but I would have to say that I particularly enjoy both ballet and contemporary because of the way in which I am able to move in both styles, and how they are so similar yet so different; I also love the storytelling element and how the story’s are portraying in both of these styles!!

My favourite ballet productions I have seen are the Royal Ballet’s 'The Winter's Tale’ because I love the unique choreography and I think the costume and set design is so beautiful in this ballet. My other favourite would be Akram Khan’s ‘Giselle’ because of its contemporary concepts and meaning behind the modernised version of this ballet.

Who would you love to work with (company, choreographer or dancer)?
If I could have the opportunity to meet anyone from the dance world, I would love to meet Misty Copeland because of her groundbreaking breakthrough in ballet and also Fumi Kaneko because I adore to watch her dance on stage.

Your favourite, go to dance outfit?
My go to dance outfit would be a plain or floral patterned leotard, pink ballet tights, a complimentary ballet skirt, pointe shoes, my water bottle, and a pair of trash bag pants and warmup booties to throw on at the start and end of class!
